Young Audiences

Since 2015, Liesel has collaborated with CDP Theatre Producers, an award winning theatre production house specialising in producing and touring theatre of the highest quality for young people and their families.

In all she has directed ten different productions for the company which have all subsequently toured Australia-wide, and specific productions also to New Zealand.

In late 2024 she will collaborate with Artists in Beijing to create a co-production called Klockwork. Building on previous developments, this work, for children and their families will be a movement, dance, clowning and shadow puppet work with no dialogue - anticipated to tour in China and Australia.

‘We have had the pleasure of working with Liesel on many productions for Young Audiences. She has created extraordinary works with us for a range of audiences which we have been creatively acclaimed and commercially successful, and which we have been able to tour nationally and internationally, everywhere from Sydney Opera House to Regional Australia and New Zealand.

Liesel’s work is exciting and accessible; it speaks to audiences across cultural and demographic boundaries while remaining innovative, challenging, enjoyable and technically outstanding. Liesel leads performers, creatives and crew with skill, grace and style. Liesel is one of the most extraordinary directors in Australia across all genres and it is a privilege to work with her.’
